Bio

deef was born directly into photographic chemicals, then proceeded to study Photography at the Dansk Royal Visual Academy of Art and later finished his Master on the topic “Quantum Photography: A New Cluster in Time” summa cum laude at the renowned Moscow Oligarch Institute for Avantgarde Photography. He proceeded to decline many fully-funded PhD-positions in order to let the art itself rule his life.

While deef had great success with his impromptu Food & Nature – Exhibitions he always comes back to the Streets.

Unfortunately deef’s assistant was too lazy to list his numerous exhibitions, even though deef pays slightly above the minimum wage.

As spatial forms become frozen through frantic and critical practice, the viewer is left with a clue to the outposts of our future.

As momentary replicas become reconfigured through diligent and academic practice, the viewer is left with a clue to the outposts of our existence.

My work explores the relationship between the universality of myth and counter-terrorism. With influences as diverse as Kafka and Joni Mitchell, new combinations are distilled from both explicit and implicit narratives.

Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by the traditional understanding of the universe. What starts out as triumph soon becomes corroded into a tragedy of defeat, leaving only a sense of unreality and the chance of a new reality.

As shimmering derivatives become frozen through studious and academic practice, the viewer is left with an insight into the darkness of our existence.
